Biggest morning tea raises $800

The Monday Morning Ladies competition organised a Biggest Morning Tea, raising more than $800 for the Cancer Council fundraiser.
The event was one of 26,724 such morning teas across Australia, raising almost $13 million so far.
Generous donations of items for the raffle boosted the dollars. Badminton Geelong staff member Raghu Cirimavilla won the major prize of a TV, in turn generously donating it to Badminton Geelong.
New Wednesday night format proves a hit
As many players will know, we have been integrating the fixturing platform Sportsied into our management toolkit.
This innovative software has transformed the way we organize and conduct our various activities, enhancing your overall experience.
Over the past month, Sportsied has been instrumental in the seamless execution of:
Wednesday Socials: Bringing together players of all levels for enjoyable and competitive play.
School Competitions: Facilitating inter-school matches with ease and efficiency.
Ranking Competitions: Streamlining the process of ranking players and ensuring fair play.
As we continue to innovate and improve, your feedback is invaluable. If you have participated in any of these activities and interacted with Sportsied, we kindly ask you to share your thoughts and experiences. Your insights will help us understand what aspects are working well and where we can make improvements to serve you better.
Elite tournament hosting success

Badminton Geelong once again proved its major tournament hosting capabilities with the successful conclusion yesterday of the Protech Elite Series 2 2024 and AIA Junior Circuit 6 U13 and U17.
The two-day tournament attracted 178 entries, including players of Australian national team standard, as well as the top juniors around the country.
The tournament was played across 12 courts at the Geelong Badminton Stadium and Branch Stadium at the Leisuretime Sports Precinct while bringing in a valuable economic boost to the region.
Badminton Geelong Sports Development and Facilities Coordinator Naman Bhardwaj acted as tournament director.
Our own Jacob Schueler played a brilliant tournament, finishing with three medals.
Jacob lived up to his top seeding by taking out the men’s singles.
He then teamed up with Melbourne player Lee-Yen Khoo to win the mixed doubles and partnered Elton Zhang to come runner up in the men’s doubles.
Badminton Geelong sincerely thanks all the volunteers who gave of their time to help run a great event.
