Our new website
Badminton Geelong’s beautiful brand-new website has just gone live.
The new site features great looking graphics and easy to follow navigation, allowing players to interact with Badminton Geelong online for just about anything.
To enable that, Badminton Geelong has teamed up with two platforms: Hello Club for court hire bookings and Sportsied for social badminton reservations.
The website has direct links to both those platforms to make online bookings faster and easier. It also means that everything done online results in more court time for players and less admin time for staff.
We can still be contacted by phone on 03 5275 0688, email on [email protected], and [email protected] or drop in to the centre at the Leisuretime Sports Precinct, 262 Anakie Rd, Norlane.
New court mats

Our six courts have been transformed with the installation of new mats.
The new mats, from Protech, are a significant upgrade from the previous courts.
They feature Badminton Geelong and Geelong Badminton Academy signage.
Volunteer army
A small army of volunteers helped out during the week it took from delivery to layout.
The new mats were required to lay flat for several days after being unrolled. When professional welding of the four sections was completed, the mats were taped down.
Happy players
Our new court mats are already drawing favourable comments from players.
Badminton Geelong in the news

The work of the Geelong Badminton Academy has attracted the attention of our local media.
The Academy, under head coach Naman Bharwadj, holds regular coaching sessions for juniors at all levels, as well as one-on-one sessions for all ages.

The Geelong Advertiser featured a double page spread (pictured above) on the activities of the intermediate juniors.
The Geelong Independent also featured the story on its sports pages (pictured right) as well as on its website.
You can see it here:

The academy also holds coaching sessions for local schools including Northern Bay, Kardinia, Matthew Flinders and Holy Family.
